The woman on the moon and the woman on the dragon are two descriptions of humanity. Both women produce offspring, the former those of the truth, the latter those of disgust. To say the woman on the moon is the church does not work well. Actually, the woman gave birth to a man-child, a child symbolizing Jesus. Looking at the actual picture, the church did not bore Jesus: Jesus bore the church. Thus, we need a deeper metaphor. Both women are descriptions of humanity, one bearing people loyal to the truth and the other baring people indulging in wickedness. The woman standing on the moon signifies all time. The church began as a result of Jesus\u2019 first coming; therefore, the woman representing the church does not follow well, simply symbolizing the church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
